Marion Van Keken-Rietkerk MBA CBI

Marion emigrated from The Netherlands in 1983 and has since called Canada her home.
In addition to business administration, her background includes Food service, Hospitality, Real Estate, Special events, Event Rentals and Athletic Apparel. She is an MBA graduate from Athabasca University and wrote her applied project on Family Business Succession. She continues to study at the Sauder School of Business in the area of Family Business Advising and has chosen to apply her background, experience and education to help business owners plan for succession, intergenerational transfers and divestitures.

Throughout her professional and personal life Marion has embraced continuing education and professional development. Her two wonderful children were empowered by their entrepreneurial upbringing and are pursuing their goals both at home and abroad.

Marion’s 23 years of experience includes family and personal businesses. The process of starting and growing businesses, separating related companies and selling a company has given her great insight into due diligence requirements, general and specific knowledge required to buy or sell a business, as well as the need for careful planning and execution. As a business Intermediary, she brings value to the process through intuition, knowledge and ethics.

She has been an active member of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board, the Vancouver Board of Trade, Tourism Vancouver and the International Special Event Society; she is also a member of the International Business Brokers Association and is a licensed realtor under the Province of British Columbia. Marion is in the process of obtaining her Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation currently held by only a handful of brokers across the country.
